One of the favorite subjects for all bird photographers at this time of year and in this region: the bluethroat. The bluethroat is not uncommon, but it is capricious. It appears from far away and from behind…

…or half-hidden behind reeds…

…concealed in the bushes or taking flight.

Sometimes, however, you can see it almost undisturbed…

…or it shows itself beautifully in the evening light, making the photographer happy.
