Siberian Blue Robin (Larvivora cyane) Although I had often heard its distinctive song echoing through the highland forest, this blue bird—which rarely emerges from the undergrowth—finally allowed me to see it up close. It flew off immediately, making it truly a fleeting encounter.

The grub merchants and some notes on grub farming. Grubs are loosely analogous to pigs in shrewland.
The grub merchant is an acorn woodpecker named Reuben Oglethorpe. Reuben has a balding issue but is overcompensating with his large red cap. His apprentice is Pepito.
This month's #BirdWhisperer bird is a vermilion flycatcher! please carefully observe the angry tangerine.
