And here it is: the bluethroat in all its glory.
One of my absolute favorite local birds, the Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica)! These guys are very abundant here, and I love their personality and little songs. Very often on my walks in Spring, a bluethroat male will jump out of the bush, puff up its beautiful chest and sing as loud as he can, sometimes using bits and bobs from other birds' songs.

I haven't done a Birds of the Week in way too long (I am sorry!), but here's a batch of new birds! I can't garantuee a more regular posting schedule rn, but the birds have started repeating anyway, so I can catch up at my own pace :)
