I'm not at the moment so here are some Dew thoughts!

Was summoned to be one of Terzo's on-tour bodyguards, as fire ghouls often are

Mist IMMEDIATELY clocked this little fire runt as being a water hybrid (as she's a water/air hybrid herself) and took him under her wing and taught him bass. When she left the band she recommended him personally as her replacement

Mist gifted her bass to Dew, and even after he became lead guitar he still took her bass everywhere on tour, and he'd play it when feeling stressed or overwhelmed

When the last original string on the bass snapped, Dew was really distressed, as the bass is the last thing he has of Mist. Aether ended up turning the string into a pentacle necklace for him, and Dew never takes it off

(NSFW) a list of the ghouls i think cry during sex (often enough that it is a risk): mountain and rain are about tied. both get overwhelmed easily, physically and emotionally. then aether, he can get caught up in emotions and cry about how much he loves someone, happens fairly often. cirrus cries but only sometimes (same as awther, can get emotional abiut how much she loves someone) - 🌧️

Dew cries if there's something particularly soft that he wasn't expecting, both emotional softness and physical softness. It happens most with Aether, as he's the one he lets himself get most vulnerable around.

It'll be, like, something rough, Aether railing Dew while Dew lies on his back, and Aether looks down at his mate all flushed and moaning for him, all marked up by Aether, his hair framing his face like a halo. And Aether can't help but look at his mate like he hung the stars in the sky, let out a awed little "You're beautiful" in a breathless whisper.

And of course Dew wasn't expecting it and he freezes up. And so Aether stops moving, taking in the deer-in-the-headlights look in his mate's eyes, the tenseness in his body, and he knows whatever scene they're doing is over. "I'm serious," he says, laying a gentle hand on Dew's cheek. "You're perfect."

And that's when the tears come. Even after all this time, Aether's open love of him always hits when he least expects it, often when he feels like he least deserves it. And it often makes him cry. And then Aether starts talking about how much he loves Dew, holding him close as he sobs, and Aether starts crying when Dew responds in between little gasps of breath, face shoved in Aether's shoulder because he can always find his words better if he's not looking at someone.

They don't finish the sex that night, just cry and cuddle each other close.

Dew has really bad adhd with a smattering of autism

He has 80 alarms set on his phone and they never help, so Aether always helps to remind him to do stuff. Playing guitar always triggers that hyperfocus, the headbanging and stomping are stims. Waits until the last possible second to get dressed before the rituals, which gives Aether the Most Anxiety. Constantly has Jittery Leg. Will not fucking shut up ever. Infodumps about everything, he's told Rain the same thing about 80 times bc he keeps forgetting who he's told it to and Rain keeps forgetting he's told him.

When Rain's anxiety spikes, the ground around his feet frost up and the tips of his fingers and tail start to freeze. Worst case scenario is a complete mental breakdown and his body completely freezes over.

Heat cycles are pretty regular, and they last anywhere from a few days to a week and a half. They're the only time ghouls can reproduce, and to help that out ghouls get both a penis and a vagina during the duration of their heat, regardless of their normal genital configuration

U know how heats are. You Gotta Fuck, or ur suffering.

The scent of a ghoul in heat can set off ruts in other ghouls. In rut, a ghoul is also able to reproduce, but their typical genital configuration does not change, and a rut is typically satisfied quicker than a heat. They're just essentially Really Horny and fertile, but staying away from the scent of heat can dissipate a rut. A heat cannot be set off like a rut can.

For the reasons above, ghouls typically keep track of their heat cycles and will start to isolate themselves in with their pack in the days leading up to it as they prepare for their heat. Preparation includes stocking up on heat necessities (both sex stuff like lube, toys, or condoms if they're not wanting kits at the moment, as well as things like food and water), as well as building a nest, which ends up being a Fuck And Cuddle pile of blankets, pillows, clothing, anything soft

Mates get first dibs during heat, followed by the pack alpha, then followed by whoever else the ghoul in heat wants. Alphas are often involved in pack heats aside from just fucking; they're there to protect the vulnerable ghoul by keeping watch and warding off unwanted suitors, those who would wish the ghoul harm, etc. Alphas also make sure there's no real harm during the heat (aside from, you know, consensual kinky shit), making sure the ghouls involved get rest and food and water when needed, help clean up, etc

After a heat is finished, it often leaves a ghoul exhausted and unable to perform pack duties and such for the next few days. This is normal and expected, and the rest of the pack helps out for this.

In the ministry, there are heat suppressants available for those who would like them. The band ghouls always use them on tour, but between tours they'll let their heats happen naturally, as keeping them suppressed for too long is not healthy.

Aether, being the pack alpha, has everyone's heats down in the calendar on his phone. He keeps this information shared with Copia, because once Copia walked in on a pack heat and it was not fun for anyone
