well I’ve been dead.
anyways, I'm very late, and also very disappointed in Tui...but only for this one thing, at least in the first arc. The sandwing sisters have so much potential, but they aren't written as characters. they're written as obstacles. so allow me to headcanon dump! Burn - the favorite of their mother, and the one who resembles Char the most. - her sail resembles a gladiator's feathered helmet - the only scar that she got in the war directly was the one on her shoulder, the rest were from sparring with - she adored fighting and sparring and really everything violence, especially for fun. she's not sadist, but she does love a good brawl. - she has always had an obsession with weird shit, partially because she herself is a little weird. Burn has polydactylism, a trait that's actually fairly common in noble sandwings, but less so in royals. - Oasis fed this obsession without any shame, and this also led to Burn becoming desensitized to death and gore. - and while she isn't a sadist, she is a little cruel and heavy handed. she has no idea how emotions work and frankly has given up on that. however in later years, after a near successful assassination attempt, she became rather paranoid, and offed Scald and Singe. - she would have actually been a good queen, she didn't want the war to continue. she was tired of her tribe fighting and being killed in droves. brawl loving or not, she wanted the best for the sandwings. - she knew she wasn't clever enough to be the greatest queen, so she actually had a very detailed plan of what positions to appoint to get the best out of her reign. - Burn was an out and extremely open lesbian Blister - she looks most like Oasis, she's a little darker thanks to Char, but her diamond patch is just like her mothers - she on the other hand has quite the sadistic streak, she never hurt any of her siblings physically. but she fed Blaze's insecurities and Burn's violent ways. she saw her sisters as mere stepping stones to her victory. - along with being sadistic, she is also somewhat masochistic, and while she wouldn't go directly into war, she definitely enjoyed the assassins sent after her by her sisters. - she is cunning and cruel, and despised Oasis, and looking like her even more. - she actually wasn't always like this, she started with ideals and morals and hopes for a better kingdom, like both her sisters. but if you weren't Oasis' favorite, you were in the way. the palace was a cutthroat place, and she learned very quickly that she had to be cutthroat herself in order to survive. - she was very close to Char, he was probably the nicest royal dragon, and rarely agreed with Oasis on how to raise their kids. so he doted on all three of his daughters and all three of his sons. till his death anyways. - Blister was a closeted lesbian. Blaze - has a rare scale mutation that makes her pink (inspired by Spookapi) and was considered the prettiest of the sisters. she was named after the blaze on her nose and of course the desert heat. - she looks nothing like her parents, except for her eyes. they all have Oasis' eyes. - if their mother had no use for Blister, she had even less a use for Blaze. her entire life she was portrayed as the pretty one. and the pretty dumb one to boot. this isn't quite true, she has some learning disabilities, and ADHD (Burn also had ADHD but she could handle it a little better than Blaze could.) - thanks to this constant push for her to be the accessory of the kingdom, she ended up with extremely low self esteem, and never really believed that she had a place in the kingdom's future. - so she embraced it, being promiscuous (although she hated it), throwing parties and living up to her mother's expectations. this led to her thinking that was all she could be, and in the end was rather vain, greedy, and as charming as could be. she was used to bribing and tricking others into staying quiet when she needed to. - when the war for the sandwing succession started, she jumped at the chance to be more then what everyone saw her as. she was charming, nice, a little vain....and completely illiterate (thanks to no one bothering to take the time to teach the pretty, ditzy one how to read because of how difficult it was), but she did want the best for her kingdom. - then she met Glacier, they started dating, and that entire plan was thrown out the window. at the end of the war, the only reason she was still in it was because she had promised her girlfriend the land. and even that was in the process of being debated. - there is a lot more to her story that I've written but it's too long for this. - she is a semi-closeted lesbian
