YO GANG— I just got back from a whirlwind of a day trip, and I wanna share with you guys a little something I've been doing for a while
Months ago, I bought the Pure Vanilla Cookie keychain plush
Since then, I've taken him on adventures anytime I leave the house, because he deserves it
Yesterday, I took him to a kingdom not quite like anything he's seen before
It's been 16 years since I last set foot on these grounds. But this time, I was with friends! Most especially my little Nilly 💖
We also encountered something that was a little.... familiar to him
Can't imagine why though
He was right on my hip all day long, with me on every ride! We got splashed by water, gone on high speed adventures on trains and boats and sleds and starships, went to space and joined a resistance, got excited over a cute working dog (which we left alone! Dog was clocked in!), met amazing people, ate delicious food, and made tons of memories with friends. Even one person in particular recognized Pure Vanilla Cookie! (If you see this, HI HELLO!! I hope you're doing well!)
I couldn't imagine a greater day to have just before the latest update drop!
Yesterday was a day I won't forget for all the right reasons. It was magical, so fun, not even a single negative experience or encounter 💖 Everyone, and I mean everyone, I met was nice. Patron and employee alike!
Devsis needs to make a Dark Cacao Cookie keychain plush next, so then I can take him on adventures too! I'll have two little buddies, hehe! <3

Midnight hunts down Affogato Cookie to punt him to orbit before going home
Midnight finds a small boat and begins rowing across the Licorice Sea
Suddenly, there's Shadow Milk Cookie because why not he's the special boy
Midnight kicks down a door because oh my god my baby boy is in danger
Midnight has a boss fight with an entire flight of stairs
PARKOUR!!!! And he does a sick backflip!! And a kickflip using Licorice Cookie!!
He can't escape after all and it's a major plot point to rescue him
Bro says "outie 5000" and yeets back home because plot demands it

So random question: what's your head cannon of how long the Ancients have been alive? Would you say it's thousands or a thousand years? Or what?
Ooh this is a fun question! My headcanon relies on my observations from what I've gathered lore-wise 👍 Brace yourself, I'm gonna ramble a bit
Short answer— definitely a few hundred years at least. Long enough to be considered "Ancient", though the in-lore definition of that is subject to debate 😂 It's been at least 5-6 generations of your average Cookie's life expectancy
For The Friends You Made AU, I don't go by a specific number of years, I measure by generations— which is similarly to how I measure time through my lore observations for CRK specifically. Cookies are implied to live considerably longer than your average human, so judging the passage of time by human years feels like a lot of math that I don't want to do 🤣
Not all Cookies start from infancy too, as we've seen in the Witch-baked folk like GingerBrave and friends. Their lifespans could be considerably different as well in comparison to Cookie-baked folk, using Little Giant Cookie's story of his lifetime as an example. Not to mention the pure magic born Cookies, good grief. Measuring exact years for them is pure pain to me
In TFYM AU, it's been about 3-4 generations since the Dark Flour War. I don't specify how long their golden age was because it's not entirely relevant to the plot. All I can say is that modernly, not a soul alive is from that era aside from our heroic virtues themselves, and now Midnight. It's safe to say that those generations have long since passed from old age or unexpected circumstances.
It's been enough time for the current generations to be entirely unaware of what life was like when all 4 kingdoms were in their prime
Though, again, definition of "ancient" is entirely relative. I mean, you could be like 23 years old and a 19-year-old will call you ancient 😭 Who's to say 4-5 generations ago couldn't be defined as "ancient" by the younger generation's standards too?
Overall in canon, we don't have enough clear examples/statements to determine a hard-defined number of years
In my headcanon? Too much math. OLD. But Midnight will always be more ancient than them LOL
