SHUNSUI IS A BAD MUHFUCKER
Really loving Kyoraku more and more every chapter.
It's only when we both know the rules that one would call it a 'game', wouldn't you agree?

(y’know, in light of the recent chapter, I think I want to post a thought I had. So everyone who read the chapter saw that Shunsui, when talking to Lille, called him an “Arrancar.” Which confused me because is he talking about how he never played that game in battle with an Arrancar (Coyote Starrk?) or that he knows Lille is an Arrancar? I mean that crosshair over his eye could be an estigma and that hat that I’ve never seen fly off could mask fragments... And it got me thinking about, well if Lille IS an Arrancar, why the hell would he know Volstandig and why the hell would he be in Ywach’s army, a Sternritter, AND a member of his elite guard if they mainly used the Arrancar as canon fodder anyway?
And then I got to thinking...what if Lille, as an Arrancar, didn’t like Halibel’s rule and allowed Ywach to capture it all in exchange for power and a seat of importance?)
I don't know why ppl are cheering for Shunsui to break out his bankai. Yes, revealing your bankai doesn't ALWAYS mean death. But the last few who did were either maimed and/or died. Despite his awesomeness, Shunsui is not like Hitsugaya or Byakuya. Hitsugaya is protected by popularity. There will be riots if he dies. Byakuya is protected by plot. He's part of Ichigo's B-team nakama along with Zaraki and them. Oh and popularity. Being the prettiest man has its perks. They can do it and nothing too bad will happen to them. And Rukia and Renji? They're on the A-team so they don't count. But ppl like Unohana and Yamamoto? Expendable. There's literally no reason Unohana HAD to die. But she got a backstory, went bankai, and now look at her. And her death was WEAK. In Old Man Genocide's case I think it was because of plot. Lezbehonest. He was wayyyyy too powerful. He had to be taken out. His bankai was basically the sun ffs. Given the circumstances of this supposedly being a war for survival, subscribing to the law of conservation of firepower (like they did against Aizen) would look really redundant and stupid. But Shunsui? I'm not sure his new title will protect him. Plus, he's the last of the four left! We don't really know Ukitake's status but it isn't anything good. Still, I don't think he should be losing to anyone except Quincy Hitler or MAYBE Haschwalth. I will be mad if he has to resort to his bankai during this fight. I've waited almost 15 years since his debut for his bankai. I can wait a little longer.
Now y'all do know that Lille is gonna get some sort of massive power up when he opens that eye, right? But why did Kyoraku call him an Arrancar? Kubo has been known to flub lines occasionally only to have them corrected in the tankoban (remember the "you're a human/shinigami and a..." from Aizen?). So is this just a mistake or is Lille actually an Arrancar. HOWEVER, Kyoraku did refer to him as a Quincy a few pages earlier when he said they have different cultures. I think it's just a typo from Kubo. Though, Lille does have that common naming pattern that Kubo used for Arrancar. Everyone had a double letter in their name. Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, Harribel, Nelliel, etc. The naming pattern in the Quincies has been more like alliteration. Bazzard Black, Giselle Gewelle, Liltotto Lamperd, Bambietta Basterbine, etc. Tho... Some also have the double letters too but not all of them do. And then some don't follow any pattern at all (Jugram Haschwalth). I'm definitely over analyzing this. It was probably just a typo on Kubo's part like last time.
