You're doing the Lord's work by classpecting Togami as a Prince of Life. Also I would still parse Aoi as a Life player because of her connection to food, the fact she tries to force an incorrect verdict and destroy life in her darkest hour, etc. I think overall optimism is more life/doom coded than hope/rage coded because of the way life and doom players tend to have much more radical shifts in those outlooks. Thats just my interpretation tho :3
Thank youuuu! I definitely didn't think of life for Togami right from the start but it really for him well after I spent some time on it~
And I totally understand life for Aoi; I was see-sawing back and forth for her nearly the whole time. I think ultimately I choose Hope for her because of the intent behind everything she does instead of the actions themselves, if that makes sense. She tried to force a false verdict because she believed they needed to pay, they needed judgement. The hope/rage dichotomy tends to embody philosophical questions like "what is moral truth? If you believe something unquestionably, doesn't that make it right?"
I agree that life & doom tend to have more radical shifts between optimism and pessimism which is actually why I'm going to bring up this question: did Aoi really shift that dramatically? The way I saw it, her breakdown after Sakura's death wasn't out of pessimism, it was the overwhelming faith that maybe with everyone's deaths, Sakura would be at peace. From the outside we know that it's not the right decision, but for Aoi she was completely certain in that belief to the point where she was trying to kill 5 other people and herself. Until the end, Aoi was never under the idea that "everything is meaningless, there's nothing I can do anyway, we're all helpless under fate" which is doom's domain! Neither was she thinking "I'll get over this, we'll do better, we need to help ourselves" which is life's domain.
I know tone can be hard to convey in writing so jsyk I'm not actually arguing in full haha, I just get excited about classpects 😅
