      the earth rumbles beneath steady, calloused feet, the threat of strangers, or worse, supposed allies. though strong capsule ‘round soft heart does pull in hope that the sky people might be trusted, caution still pulls the reigns. she shifts careful weight, hands curled to fists, clenching and unclenching. dark hues scan the other. would they be betrayed? so carefully balanced in their scorched earth, would this apparent alliance prove the downfall of her commander? 

         tongue thick with accusation, with a test, mulan spikes. ❛ your leader clarke has brought us promises of peace. do all sky people hold this promise? ❜

                 calloused hands are laced with fresh blood, as she kneels beside him -- desperate to find a pulse, struggling to stop the bleeding. ( both are to no avail. ) she’s trembling; with short, sharp breaths. her gaze moves from the cold, still body, to the somber figure hovering besides them. she pulls herself up slowly, her stance TENSER than should be towards her brother. she strives to keep her voice even.  ❛  tell me -- tell me, you didn’t do this.  ❜
