There was a short moment in which Sasuke began to doubt the notion of common sense. It couldn’t have lasted for longer than an epiphany, just in between the actual contact and the moment Sasuke realized Deidara was leaning in.
Maybe, he now pondered ruefully, he should’ve just punched him in the face rather than have wasted time contemplating shenanigans. If only he had, then it would never have come to this.
