The fic should not exist. It should not work. It’s the most absurd premise. AND YET. SOMEHOW. thesweetestdream is a genius. Some writers just?????? Transcend???????

I cannot get over how much this fic should not work AND YET.

I think two critical reasons why the fic works: (a) thesweetestdream commented this to me — regardless of anything the sweet long term best friendship just prevails? Mike is always just :DDD YAY BEST FRIEND. what. ludicrous. charming. I cannot get enough of how Mike is like that was nice!! :D (b) Will is exceptional at this game. Like this is insane improv skills. Comparatively he is always the best at the game. (c) slow burn while they’re “fucking” the whole time is the best edging the reader I’ve seen in a hot minute.

Byler twt will crash the website when they kiss and or when Mike is like oh im gay??? I am crashing out tho about how it escalated in ch7. That was insane.
