after they'd been out on ... a bunch of missions together, elias realized that he'd managed to avoid actually meeting eryx outside of missions. outside of fighting for their lives - or fighting beetles, or fighting to try & bring tristan back to camp. he's just ...not... met him. not because he didn't want to or because he didn't like him, but because ... well, he didn't know. main issue could be the fact he didn't really go out a lot, which truly put a damper on most of his relationships like ...always. damn.
but no more. he'd ...change that. or die trying. well, maybe not quite as extreme. at least not until he actually tried ...tried. yeah. he found eryx by the beach, he'd seen him there a few times - he knew that eryx was all about water, so it wasn't really difficult to find him, but he'd still somewhat avoided it until now. he couldn't help it, he was ...not a people person even though he had nothing against people. he just couldn't seem to behave normally around them.
"eryx? hey, hi. so uh... i know we didn't ever like... really meet. hey... hi. i'm elias. but youuu already know that. uhhhh, i'm not... interrupting anything, am i? i can come back later if you uh... need time."
