Possibly, in the sense that I don't consider myself a "Sciles" fan. It's one of those fandom quirks that when I see a character name portmanteau, my brain considers it a non-platonic ship. Love the relationship that Scott and Stiles have and, even though there were points in S5 when their interactions were (deliberately) uncomfortable, it didn't stop me from enjoying the story of the season as a whole.
I'm kind of the opposite in that respect. While I'll be the first to acknowledge that I won't use portmanteaus for familial relationships, they can otherwise mean platonic or romantic, gen or ship. I'm someone who strongly believes that platonic and romantic relationships are just two different manifestations of a strong bond between 2+ people. If you don't have that underlying friendship/relationship, you can't have anything else. The majority of the time I use a portmanteau - i.e. reblogging with "ship names" - I mean it in a "non-ship" sense, in that I am enjoying the relationship, but I don't think that necessarily makes it a shippy one.
