Maddie had been running around town trying to see if she could tire herself out, but it didn’t seem possible with her vampire speed. She decided to keep running for five more minutes until she sat down on a bench, just trying to control her breathing. She could hear someone walking in her direction and looked over at them. “Hey, what are you doing here?”

“Hey, yeah, give me just a sec.” Eirik spoke to the person as he quickly finished jotting down his notations within the small leather-bound journal he had been writing in, wrapped its cord around it, and looked up at them. “Sorry about that, had to finish writing or I’d forget what I was needing to make note of.” He laughed softly. “What’s up?” It was a depressingly slow day at the Grill, and he’d had little to do for the past hour or more.

Ivy sighed as she closed the large tome on her desk. Hours and hours of research had once again amounted to nothing, and her mind felt like jell-o as a result. Even she could only take staring at nearly unintelligible runes for so long. Closing her eyes for a moment, she didn’t notice as someone approached the archives. She heard the footsteps as they drew nearer and sat upright, “I’m so sorry! Please don’t tell me you were standing there very long.”

“Man, a guy picked the wrong day to break up with his girlfriend. Valentine’s Day of all days. The girl went nuts, chased him around the house with a pencil threatening to stab his eyes out.” Ashton shook his head. “Now I’m left to write a report on the whole thing.”

It hadn’t been long since he took over Mystic Motors for himself, but he was proud of the small changes he had made. From a lowly mechanic to owner. Even if they couldn’t keep him out of the bay for some oil changes or repairs, nothing beat getting under the hood. Cam looked up from the counter and gave a smile. “What brings you by?” He questioned.

“Never mind…I’m sorry for bothering you…” Natalya muttered, backing away from the person she’d asked for help, only to bump into someone else in the process. “I’m sorry. Are you alright?”

Klaus couldn’t remember the last time he took a run in his wolf form. He knew it would clear his head, so the hybrid had spent the majority of his afternoon running as fast as he could through the woods. He was testing his speed and strength, pushing his limits in the cool air. When he shifted back it took him a moment to catch his breath. As he pulled on his jeans he heard a twig snap behind him. “Are you trying to spy on me?”

Walking around the town to clear his head a little, Marcel noticed a familiar figure in a shady alley using his vamp speed to get there as soon as possible to see for himself what was going on. They maybe weren’t in New Orleans anymore but the man still cared for some order and peace on the streets to make their lives as easier  as it can be around here. Getting closer to the person in question, he cleared his voice out loud.
