blind!Theo + chi + Liam's anxiety please! Love to see people still writing in tw :)
Thank you for the ask! I love this fic. It's going to be so much fun for people to read once it's finished.
If there's no one left writing for Teen Wolf, then I've died, and so have most of my friends.
Finally, after a good ten seconds of debating whether he wants to try his chances pushing her off, he relents, pressing his face into her neck, and burying his hands in the thick fur of her back for good measure. “There, you happy?” he asks with a huff, voice muffled in her coat. When she doesn’t back off, Theo groans, shoving his face further into her. It’s ridiculous, being quintessentially ordered around by a dog. He listens to her better than this, usually – noticing things and helping him is her job, after all – but something about today has him eager to get up and get on with things. Maybe it's the little giddy tickle at the thought of catching up with Liam again, or maybe it’s the way he has always wanted to run from it because pain has a limited range of efficacy. If he’s far enough away, puts enough distance between him and the past, things don’t hurt as much. Regardless, she’s not letting up, so he takes a deep breath. The fluff along her neck tickles against his cheeks, especially when she shifts in his awkward grip to press the underside of her chin into the back of his shoulders. It’s a hug, for all intents and purposes, and fuck if he doesn’t lean even harder into it. Theo lets himself linger there, in that pleasant comfort, the safety of just them in their space where nothing else mattered. The world outside doesn’t exist, nor does the past. It’s just the two of them. His next breath shudders out of him, but he physically feels the tension in his shoulders go with it, leaving his chest lighter and the itch along his scar gone. How a dog knows him better than he knows himself, Theo has no idea, but she does. He strokes a hand down her back, smoothing out the fur he’s rumpled. Somehow, Chi always knows when he needs her and just how he needs her, too. That’s more than can be said for anyone else in Theo’s life since he was eight years old.
