The medusa au is so cute thinking about it I imagine soap just bumping into ghost and ghost just freaking out because he is a myth in the village and is afraid he’ll scared this pretty man off but once soap looks up to him he smiles and apologizes to him and before he leaves he say, “y’know as a blind man I pride myself for seeing true beauty in things but I can tell you’re a very handsome man” then winked and waves ghost goodbye right then and there ghost falls for this strange, small, blind man. (Ghosts snakes are his wingman they make moves for him)
I got notified of this like 6 seperate times and it still took me forever to answer it cause I love procrastinating like that. Anyway!
I just gotta say this first, you said Ghost’s snakes act as his wingmen and it’s got me thinking that his snakes play on his actual feelings and thoughts cause he’s too hurt and stubborn to pay attention to them himself.
But onto the rest of it! So Soap’s always been good at reading people, blindness be damned, and he’s prided himself on that fact all his life. So when he crashes into someone broad, tall and quiet, something about the man just pings in his senses.
Something about that one point of contact just lets him know that this man is not only drop dead gorgeous but also impossibly good. He might not see himself as such but Soap’s never been wrong before.
Ghost is thrown at the behaviour of this strange little man, wondering why he’s not running for the town and crying about the monster he’s seen. But when he looks up he’s met with shining grey eyes, smile crinkling the corners and making him look breathtaking in the mid day sun.
The snakes that rest around his shoulders are quiet but they’re also intently fixed on the man, and Ghost can feel their interest in both him and the fact that he isn’t turning to stone.
But then Ghost catches the sort of haze in his eyes and realises the man’s blind. The snakes hiss quietly in pleasure at the knowledge and Ghost has to quickly shut them up so they don’t give him away.
The man apologises and walks off, leaving him with one last comment about how he knows Ghost is a handsome man despite being blind. It doesn’t make sense in Ghost’s head but he finds himself hard pressed to hate it when the man is smiling like that.
