BLACK KITTEN FRIDAY!

This little cutie is about 3 months-old and coming in from San Jose on Sunday. He was at the SJ shelter for more that a month and no one wanted him. Well, we'll take care of that!

He’ll need both eyes enucleated, which Dr. Ada and her staff will take care of next week. Then, he'll be ready for adoption!

Ollie is 8 months-old and sponsored by Mayra Sanchez. SNAP Cats rescued Ollie from Stockton, CA. Ollie is a very sweet cat, once he gets to know you. Being blind, Ollie needs to feel comfortable with you first, then it’s lap time and belly rubs... and more belly rubs! Ollies eyes don’t bother him. He’s not in any pain, so we decided to not enucleate what’s left of his eyes until they become a problem. Hopefully that’ll never happen.

We just rescued two kittens from Solano County, Tipsy (yes we are) and Spunky (we’re thinking about it). Tipsy is, well, ataxic. Big surprise. Spunky has neurological challenges. We don’t have any good pictures yet, but you can see both at the links below:

TWO FOR TUESDAY!

Ollie is 9 months-old and sponsored by Mayra Sanchez. Raven is also about 9 months-old and sponsored by Christine and Anthony Durso. SNAP Cats rescued Ollie from Stockton, CA, and Raven from Long Beach, CA. Both of these kittens are full of energy and love to play, especially with one another. Ollie is a very sweet cat, once he gets to know you. Being blind, Ollie needs to feel comfortable with you first, then it’s lap time and belly rubs... and more belly rubs! Ollies eyes don’t bother him. He’s not in any pain, so we decided to not enucleate what’s left of his eyes until they become a problem. Hopefully that’ll never happen. And Raven’s ataxia doesn’t stop her from doing anything! Both kittens love attention and their wet food treats. We'd like Ollie and Raven to be adopted together because they enjoy each other so much.

Posted @withregram • @catsofsanbernardino Little Goliath is out of surgery and recovering well ❤️ We love him so much and are heartbroken for him. He ended needing to have a double enucleation because the pressure in his "good eye" was already double what it should be, causing him pain. After extensive testing we still don't know what was causing the eye issues and early glaucoma. He was negative for all major illnesses which is good but doesn't help with diagnosis. His blood work was also normal but we will be doing follow up blood work to try and see if any levels change that could point towards a diagnosis.
