That was physically painful. Don't do that. Bad.

No but just imagine it. He's all calm at first, 'Jesse? Jesse?!' 

Then you just hear, 'Sundown!' before he's running toward where Jesse is in a panic uncaring that he's endangering himself as well because his best friend needs him.

For reference, it's the Lords of Avalon series which is merging with DH in 'Sons of No One'. And I was wrong on book count, it's just 2 of them (thank god).
