Guys..

I made this poll because I was scared that a chunk of my followers didn’t actually know what otherkin was, since some of you guys just followed me for my jsab content.

I knew that at least some of you would be confused, but.. not this badly.

Otherkin is involuntary. You don’t choose to be otherkin. And it’s much deeper than just “I like this character/animal”.

And if you just identify WITH something, that’s probably copinglink or otherhearted.

Otherkin is when you INVOLUNTARILY identify AS something. You don’t choose. It’s not a coping mechanism. It’s not just an interest or comfort character. It’s not a game. It’s not cosplay or roleplay.

I’ve been evaluating myself lately, and I’ve realized that Maruku, Blitz, D3V10US, and possibly Qwq aren’t just copinglinks, but rather full kintypes. I’m not really specifically looking for any “canonmates” to interact with or whatnot. I just want to keep this blog a comfort space, otherkin or otherwise.

Honestly, I’ve been in denial for it so long that it’s almost hilarious.

The content of this blog won’t really change, but I just wanted to make that announcement.
