I'm in for a really emotionally draining day helping a friend notify family and friends that there's been a death in the family and would really appreciate any fluffy hellaverse thoughts y'all could fill my askbox up with so I have something nice to come home to.

Trying so hard to not get mad at the Tawna mum concept art bc its purely a Me Problem, but I hate Tawna/Pinstripe as a ship. I really like the characterisation of her in the original production document for Crash 1 where it's kinda implied that she tries to unionize the mutants & Pinstripe is the CEO of Cortex Power with horrendous work safety violations.

It feels extremely anti-thetical to her character for me & I know it's purely a me problem for holding on to a characterisation that never came to fruition, like it very much is cut content that doesn't matter, but I like it so much more than the accepted semi-canon of her ditching crash to be with Pinstripe.

Tawna/Pinstripe always felt extremely shallow & superficial, like ppl only decided that's what happened bc Tawna is an attractive woman & Pinstripe is an attractive man so they must be together since she's not in the series anymore & then japan decided that was canon in their specific context. She's never given any characterisation beyond being an attractive woman in the series & so many ppl use that to be rly misogynist about her & ppl use the Pinstripe/Tawna ship to justify hating her.

Like idk I'm kinda rambling & I think it's cool if ppl ship it in a non-gross way, but I just wish there was more thought about Tawna outside her being arm candy for one of the guy characters or the butt of misogynist jokes & stereotypes.

I've been working on my headcanons around N.Trance & trying to figure out a name for his mother, a character I created in 2021 but haven't been able to find a name for that satisfies me.

It needs to be a sort of pun that is related to the fact she is a super massive black hole. At the moment her working name is N.Mass, but I'm not sold on that idea.

What I am somewhat decided on is that her name will probably be Neu-something, coz I've decided that the Neu prefix is a family thing with my own headcanon for N.Trance's name being Neuro.

But here's where it gets hard bc there is a lot in quantum physics I could use, Neutron, Neutralino, Neutrino, but to come up with a properly clever name for her means understanding what any of these words mean & I am not a math genius guy. As much as I love space, space math is a lot to understand.

Been thinking about the crash team rumble concept art reveal & how ghost from call of duty is there???

I get its a spinoff game & especially now that this is cut content, that this doesnt rly mean anything. However, I find the idea that call of duty exists in the same canon world as crash bandicoot to be hilarious & horrific.

Crash fans on twitter being all like “noooo don’t criticise the fact that there isn’t much gameplay videos of crash team rumble! That’s toxiiiic” like um actually it’s totally reasonable to be confused as to why the game isn’t being marketed much & especially with not much gameplay footage.

Im extremely unimpressed with how Crash Team Rumble looks.

For sure I wasn’t keen on the idea to begin with coz it’s not the kinda game I’m into, but that wasn’t rly a judgement of the game’s quality, but now I’m thinking it looks pretty mediocre. I’m really hoping that’s just the beta jank talking & the final game will be a lot better, but my hopes aren’t very high.

I don’t think it’s Toys For Bob’s fault tho, coz I’m pretty sure this game has had a difficult development cycle. I’ll be interested to find out just what happened in this game’s development as it seems like what we saw from an earlier developed concept in Wumpa League looked a lot more promising compared to what we have now.

I’m just rly disappointed that these days triple A industry level games seem to be majorly dropping in quality while prices are going up.

Again, hope I’m proven wrong when the final game comes out in June & that it’s actually good. It still probably won’t be a game I’ll want to play, but hey at least I won’t feel bad for the folks who were actually looking forward to it like I am currently.

I’m rly apathetic toward crash team rumble as a whole coz like I hate multiplayer games that are competitive, I’m not a competitive person.

But I’m rly happy we get Catbat outta this, the first canon LGBTQ+ character in the series, at least the first that’s not being reduced down to a stereotype or joke. It’s rly nice to see when the series has had a terrible track record with LGBTQ+ rep in the past. I hope there’s more in the other characters & I would also like to see some genuine rep in some of the existing characters too (like hey what’s up with Brio’s egg?)

Still probably won’t get the game itself coz I hate Activision Blizzard as an awful abusive company & I don’t like that kinda game, but I’m happy for this at least.
