full disclosure, this ended up being a sort of hybrid screenshot edit- I had to use the original screenshot as a guideline in terms of proportion and shading, but I didn't directly trace the linework. it took a while, but I like how it turned out!

OHH OMG... this is such a good question!!!

when kinga and blivian actually get free time away from preparing the show/fixing the many MANY structural problems with the gizmoplex, blivian likes to take kinga for a ride in her ship to see stuff around the cosmos! on the more mundane side of things, they also really like to cuddle while watching movies. blivian hopes that someday, kinga can show her what it's like on earth, because she thinks human culture is just so damn cool

dr. valentine likes to go to underground concerts with pyro, and the two of them have also been seen around toy stores and candy shops. (pyro collects cute or odd looking toys, and dr. val's still holding out for a reissue of that atomic energy lab she saw advertised years ago...) meanwhile, merasmus often invites them along to search for rare books and artifacts in sketchy-looking antique shops. they went out of town to a museum once when they had an exhibit on ancient civilizations. merasmus was very perturbed over the fact that she KNEW some of the information on mesopotamia was wrong, but his only source is that he was there, and people don't tend to believe that

erin and tracy like to go to parks with a walking trail when it's nice out and have lunch together there! tracy also has quite a sweet tooth (which is common among fairies), so they like trying different desserts at restaurants. erin loves creme brulee and tracy loves anything with strawberries

clef is a very impulsive person and candide is the type who tries to plan for everything. combined with the fact that candide is practically married to her work, planning dates can be a bit tough. they try to give each other a little leeway- candide was surprised to find she actually had fun axe throwing, and clef hadn't thought they'd enjoy watching historical docudramas that weren't about musicians. they also just like having dinner at home together <3 candide sucks at cooking but clef loves making stuff for her

2. So, how have you and s/i been? What have you two been up to recently?

Tracy's eyes light up. "Erin and I have been working as usual, but they've been showing me around where they live when we get free time! We went to Pride together, which was really lovely. It's rather different from what I'm used to, but then so are a lot of human traditions."

Kinga gives a little shrug. "Eh... well, things have been better. There was a huge amount of destruction to the Gizmoplex, and our main test subjects have disappeared into the past with my grandma, so that's kind of a setback." She manages a small smile. "But despite it all... it's nice to have Blivian here. She's been a huge help with rebuilding, and making sure we don't work ourselves too hard. Lately we've mostly been watching video essays on faked alien evidence when we get time to relax together."

6. Be honest, what was your first impression of s/i when you first met them?

"When I first met Erin, I remember I told myself not to get attached," Tracy says. "Though I wasn't handling her case, I still felt the sting from losing my friend Derek. I didn't want to end up feeling that strongly for another human, only to have them forget me when their service was completed." She shakes her head, grinning. "Of course, we've got things worked out since then. But to answer your question, I thought they seemed nice, though a bit shy. That's pretty unusual for a human sent to work here. So despite my best efforts, I suppose my curiosity got the better of me. Thank goodness."

"Oh my god." Kinga laughs. "So what happened there was, it was an experiment day and we were all trying to get set up in the hours before we sent the movie. This tiny, crappy little ship asked permission to dock, and when we let it, Blivian comes down and introduces herself as a handyman, or maintenance or something. My first impression of her was a mix of confusion and 'this weirdo doesn't seem too bright', basically. She managed to convince me by giving me a free trial run, and she did do a good job..." She rolls her eyes. "That is, until Jonah was watching the movie and a random scene went missing because Blivian DRANK part of the Kingachrome. I was pretty pissed and made her leave after that. But she kept coming back, and well, eventually somehow she made me start to like her. That's another story, though."
