It was a little bit warmer today. Mandana decided she did not want to wear a jacket which is totally fine. In contrast, she’s gone out twice without shoes & got snowballs stuck between her toes both times so that’s not something she was willing to skip. She’s gotten better about not freaking out when it happens but the second time she made me come inside and put shoes on her so she could continue playing in the snow uninhibited.
Thunder Snow is so cool. To hear the big crashing sound of thunder but it lacks any of the sharpness you might hear with a regular storm. It’s raw rumbling power. Wish I could get it on camera but the cold makes my battery die like immediately.
Hubbins has to make it to work tomorrow and both cars are still snowed-in so we threw some kibble in the snow and got to work! 💪
Blizzard will be rolling in tonight. Hubbins is home from work and I canceled some appointments. Stocked up on food, water, prescriptions and other supplies. Dishes, laundry, floors are all clean and ready to go. Cars are full of gas. Emergency batteries are charged. We covered outdoor faucets, laid out some straw in the dog pen, etc. Our locations infrastructure is pretty good but we’re getting a lot of warnings we don’t usually get so just trying to stay on top of things. Fingers crossed the puppies won’t be affected too much by the storm. I can’t imagine going days without electricity with a huge litter of babies depending on you.
