He found death at the bottom of a bottle

She found love at the top of the hour 

they found each other at the edge of the bar half out 

eyes half lit 

she had red hair and a lack of struggle when it came to dancing on the pavement

shuffling about with words and layers of conversations that still hang in the air

he had a beard destined for bards of drunken scrawls 

like half lit junkies they hung about
