I-Spy Rainbow Economy Block quilt. 65x50 by tell tale threads Via Flickr: These blocks came from the block of the month at my local quilt guild. It didn't bother me that the size of the blocks varied - I had to add a border to some and cut the points off others. It is an I-Spy quilt so no one will be looking at points, just the fun images inside the squares. My blocks were made using a paper piecing pattern but I think most of our guild members preferred the piecing method. Both work! I tried different layouts, but went back to a striped rainbow similar to an earlier quilt I made. The back is flannel, with the centre strip being a leftover road map from another quilt. I had the perfect rainbow striped fabric for the binding, but it must have been too late at night when I cut it. The next morning when I went to attach the binding, I found I had cut it all at 1.25" instead of 2.25"! I then chose a black and white fabric for the binding.

You were made to meet your maker.
Every single day that I'm in Block, I stare at the world map. It takes up a third of a wall, and it's huge. You can see a lot of details when it comes to where rivers, capitals, countries, ect are. But I can't help but think, is that really it? There obviously has to be more than just that. And just by those wonders I get so excited for when I get to be with God in Heaven. Just how fantastic would it be to just beable to turn to Jesus right then and there and be like, "Hey buddy, missed ya!" Just how GREAT would that be? I get so excited, you have no idea.
But then I think about leaving. And how I'd miss everyone and every beautiful thing on this earth. I try to remind myself everyday not to get attatched to things. You came into this world with nothing, you leave this world with nothing. When I catch myself falling in love with a dream catcher or even my backyard I stop and remind myself that.
And honestly guys, God is so amazing and good. I just really want to be filled with His love and happiness for my whole life.
