All for a Ring | LOTR
Víbora felt like she was waking up, but it was... different. It was like coming to a dream but not being asleep. She was just coming to. A painfully bright sun filtered through her still blurred vision as she heard the faint sound of birds and falling leaves. Was she left outside? That would actually be a first time, surprisingly, since arriving to Covaire.
"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old... you've been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor." An unfamiliar voice sounded through her ears, much to her confusion.
Summoned? Threat? What the fuck is Mordor?
As her vision returned, she blinked in surprise, finding herself not in her cell or left passed out in the Château yard, but actually sitting straight up in a chair, in a semi circle with other people, like some sort of AA meeting. That is, if she was at an AA meeting with a DnD theme night. Everyone present was dressed in some sort of Medieval garments, and looking down at herself, she was also in a gown fitting the occasion. It was long and silky and a rich shade of green with brown embroidery. Probably the most modest thing she has worn in years.
"Middle Earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite, or you will fall. "Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom." Continued the man and Víbora looked at him. Tall. Long brown hair. Fancy Medieval clothing. Weird circlet. Elf ears? After his tragic sounding spiel, he turned to a rather child sized man with large feet. "Bring forth the ring, Frodo."
Frodo? That name sounds familiar...
The child-man stood up and walked to the center table and laid what looked to her like a simple golden band on it before retreating to his seat. The ring garnered small gasps and stares and while, initially, she didn't see the big deal, but felt something... off about the ring. Like dark whispers calling out to her crueler side, telling her to steal it and kill whoever stopped her. It was mild, but still noticeable. Seeing others oddly entranced as well, she blinked in confusion and looked around, hoping for any clue as to what's happening.
Where the hell was she?
