"You could have called, you could have written, did you do it? no. Was I suppose to wake up one of these days and be like 'Oh, I wonder if Lucas is alive, let me ask this magical ball over here.' Was that what you expected me to do? No, don't even answer, just... get out of here. I’m done." He signaled to the door.

gold-colored   gaze   took   in   the   sight   of   the   man   entering   the   room.   one   glance   at   the   rest   of   the   suddenly   quiet   audience,   he   assessed   that   he   was   not   the   only   one   who   noticed   but   then   again,   it   was   to   be   expected   when   the   entire   room   was   filled   with   SOPHISTICATED   CRIMINALS   staring   at   the   new   arrival.

the   SOKOVIAN   BARON   shifted   on   his   stool   with   the   whiskey-filled   glass   pressed   to   his   lips   and   the   taste   of   his   delightful   content   burned   at   his   tongue.   all   the   while,   his   eyes   never   turned   away   from   the   intruder   as   the   rest   of   the   room   returned   to   their   private   bustle.

when   the   alluring   man   approached   the   bar,   ZEMO   couldn’t   help   the   smirk   that   curled   at   the   corners   of   his   lips.

The black head of the snake lifted up from where he happily rested it on the other man’s shoulder. Serpentine eyes made contact before he flicked his tongue out for but a moment. If a snake could smile he would be doing just that and while the snake’s jaw didn’t move a voice did resound with amusement in his tone.

“Well, for starters you’re very warm so it’s nice and comfortable right here. Secondly I, for one, think I would look rather fashionable as a scarf with lounging around right here. I hear black and red is very in this year.”

There’s blood on the screen of his Samsung when he sets it down on the counter and when it fades to black the shifter sighs and tries not to pace. He’s in pain, yes; there’s some sort of magical buckshot littered in his side and it’s made it impossible for him to shift at all. Powers muted. The eyes within are still open but they are frantic in how they look from one place to the next. There’s something wrong, something off. Hunters are clever people in their own right but a few of them have the tools necessary for being the best ——— for being an issue. Wade hadn’t fought back; killing humans isn’t really his scene, even when they go and shoot him. That’s his choice. A choice that makes him somewhat less of a monster. A choice that helps him play the part of one of them, even if he really knows better.  There’s a small piece of him that is almost heartbroken at the notion that some rando hunter out there chose him as their next target, that he’s nothing more than an abomination in the eyes of many. No amount of changing himself helps this fact. No amount of wishing makes anything different. He was born into this, born different. There’s nothing he can do.

Layers are removed for the sake of Lucas being able to access the damage; shirts tossed to the floor to be collected and thrown out later. The amount of blood is a concern but Wade is up, leaned against the counter ———and even energetic enough to be cranky when Lucas finally arrives. “Look at this mess, man. I’m like a stuck pig over here. This is so stupid. This was not how I wanted to spend my day and now I’m like fucking broken or something. Whatever these things are? They suck. I hate them.”

it would all be over soon, all crowley had to do was let it go. all he had to do was let the sisters of fate work their magic, follow their duty to take him to wherever he’d go after this. it was oh so easy, it could all be over once & for all, but .. it wasn’t that easy. he would finally be free. 

could he ever truly be free, though? he somehow doubted it. “why? what#s in it for you, love?” words didn’t come easy, blood was trickling from his lips, pooling in the corner of his mouth. “tell me why.”

"Hey baby boy. It's just me, relax." Words are murmured softly as Lucas pressed a kiss to Elliot's temple, brushing back those dark locks as he settled next to the man curled up on the couch.

Curled up, Elliot took up about one and a half cushions on the couch. It wasn’t even late, he’d just needed the mid day rest. His phone on the coffee table must have being vibrating at some point with Lucas letting him know he’d be stopping by. The weight of the other man joining him on the couch, pressing up against him for a moment had Elliot jolting slightly. Eyes widened for a moment before Lucas’ voice reassured him softly and he settled back down. A small smile twitched at the scratchy kiss to his temple and the soothing fingers through his hair. Nearly had him closing his eyes again but instead he shifted to lean his head against his boyfriend’s thigh. 

“Hey,” he said simply, knees pulling up towards his chest to return to his curled up position. “What time is it?” He asked groggily, reaching out to tap at his smartphone to see the time 4:36 pm on the display.
