Good Morning Friends! I had a very productive weekend with my Mother working on Block of the Month projects, and I wanted to share the results! Yes, I know it’s already Tuesday, but better late than never.
The BoM project I'm doing with my Mother is the Wetlands quilt designed for my quilt guild to use for the 2020-2021 guild year. This month's blocks were the heron (applique) and anvil (pieced). This is the last month we will have a pieced block, next month will be the last 2 applique blocks and May will be finishing. You can find instructions for this pattern visiting the MQG website. Instructions are released following each month's meeting on the first Thursday.
Because we were lucky enough to have a three day weekend, I was also able to make my Firework block for the National Quilt Muesum's 2021 BoM. I still haven't done any quilting on any of the blocks for this project, though I do intend to give quilt as you go a try. For the first month and a half, I didn't have any backing fabric, but I don't have that excuse anymore. Instructions for this BoM project can be found on the National Quilt Museum website. A new block is released at noon on the first day of every month! I would love to see the projects you’ve been working on, finished or in progress, quilting or otherwise. Please feel free to share pictures by reblogging this post or messaging me directly!
Keep Creating!
