The gnawing fear of being betrayed by his own henchmen, or soldiers, or even the neighbouring governors. Despite exerting pressure onto his own people, rallying them to fight off the ‘imperfect’, it’s quite ironic to think he’s no better than them; and all while being fully aware of that. His own paranoia will once spiral him down a bottomless chasm and swallow whole.
