I love American Sci-Fi! Because they get so many episodes and so many series, that the writers can just go nuts like "What if they were Firemen!?" "What if they were actors!?" "What if there was a TV show based on their adventures which was written by an Alien!?" "What if they all burst into song!!!" You get canon AUs and Canon Crack! It's brilliant! Heck, in 200 (SG1) you got crossovers!
