Curious creature. It clearly does not hail from Cardassia. Was this one of the creatures that the ungrateful bajorans warmed you towards? Perhaps if they spent more time building statues of their savior they wouldn't have need for such a petty "companion". No wonder the Bajorans are so weak.

Do you think ethereals ever get phantom limb sensations from back when they had bodies?

Probably!

My K'areshi hc has them with tails - everyone's tail dropped off during the Wasting as the first serious symptom. A K'areshi's tail only drops in times of extreme sickness or distress, it's more of a vestigial reaction than anything. But this is why you don't really see ethereals with tails, their energy-shape really only preserves the most basic humanoid body plan (also why their legs aren't digitigrade - K'areshi walked on their toes but without bones/muscle structure to support it, their posture dropped and they began to walk plantigrade).

I think they also get phantom sensations, for example fleeting memories of taste which neither brokers or ethereals experience anymore.
