Week 4: Logos
I chose the Minnesota Wild because they are my favorite hockey team and there logo has a lot going on if you look closely. First of all there are pine trees and a sunset in the background to capture the concept of the Wild. Then there is a river which is supposed to represent the Mississippi River. Another cool thing about this logo is the star in the upper left which is supposed to represent the north star which also relates back to the last Minnesota hockey team The Northstars. The last interesting thing about this logo is that all of this is all combined to make a animal which to me looks like a bear which captures the concept of The Wild even more.

The next logo I chose was The Washington Capitals logo was because I thought it was very well designed and has creative hidden symbolism. One reason I like this logo is because of the eagle which is fitting because the capitals are located in Washington D.C. It is also fitting that the logo is red, white, and blue to show patriotism. An example of hidden symbolism is the blue in this logo which is actually a W for Washington. The last example of hidden symbolism is the blank space under the eagles head in the middle which is actually the capital building.

The last logo I have chosen is the Apple logo. I chose this logo because it it simple, very well known, and I am a big Apple product user. The apple which is the logo actually is supposed to represent the apple Isaac Newton saw fall out of a tree to eventually find the discovery of the law of gravity. I also think the simplicity of the logo shows a lot of what Apple tries to do as a company which is to try to simplify all of the technology.
