What frog is The Most Frog in your opinion? Which one makes you look at it and go “yep that sure is A Frog”

I guess I am biased, having grown up in Europe. To me, Pelophylax and Rana are basically the epitome of frog. I guess many Americans will feel the same way about Lithobates.

But if we wanted a fairer frog that represents the average frog, I think we should be trying to find a frog that is roughly 30 mm long, brown, a little granular of skin, and having slightly enlarged finger and toe tips, and maybe moderate webbing.

This description fits a huge number of frogs, so I will arbitrarily choose… Blommersia wittei, a mantellid frog from Madagascar.

Pretty froggy if you ask me.
