"Please. What is your name? I want to see you again." (MASQUERADE AU THO)
It was one of those nights that Nora could go to a ball without her parents noticing. Lately, their kingdom had been having trouble with some enemies and they just wanted to protect their child- so they kept her hidden as best as they could. But since tonight was the masquerade ball, she could be hidden in plain sight- without her parents noticing.
The girl had one of her helpers, who promised secrecy, dress her up and prepare her for the ball. With everything needing decorated and set up, her parents were too busy to check on her. Once the time was right, she carefully went down to the ballroom- entering when the King and Queen weren’t looking.
Everything was beautiful in her eyes- from the people smiling and dancing, to the lights and decorations that sparkled in the room. She had a wide grin when some traditional dances started, instantly getting in a line without a care in the world. She gave a small wave to the blonde across from her, and that’s when the dance started. The two basically danced in sync, and Nora was practically having the time of her life.
After the dance, she started to chat with the mystery blonde- laughing every so often at something she or the other said. But the conversation was soon cut short, as she noticed the King and Queen were intently staring at her- as if trying to figure out who she was. A pang of panic struck through her and she glanced up at her temporary dance partner. “I-I gotta go-” She stuttered before turning and heading towards the door she entered from.
That’s when her arm was pulled a little, and she jolted her head back to the lady. A nervous look crossed her features as she glanced at her parents and then back at the blonde. She could tell her actual name, it would be too easy. The ginger didn’t know the other well enough to expose herself like that- for all she knew, she could be a part of the attackers.
“Sásta.” She responded quickly, then yanked her arm free before rushing away before the guards did.
