   “I’m not saying that you’re gonna want to see me fix this guy’s leg in OR 2...”

It’s the beginning of a sentence that can really only end one way. With the wide eyed look in the Latina’s eyes, and the way her hands are folded over the clipboard held within them, it’s clear to see that this is a very exciting surgery for her. And she’s done a lot of surgeries, so excitement for her means something. 

   “...But if your mom says you can, you’re definitely gonna want to see me fix             this guy’s leg in OR 2.”

     WHEN ARIZONA MENTIONED her friend, teddy, was returning to seattle WITH her daughter sofia didn’t know what exactly to expect. she was a talkative one: at home, at daycare, even at school now. still, sofia had an incredibly SHY side when it came to meeting new people. even when those people were family or, at least in this case close enough to that. arizona had invited the others over for dinner, so when sofia spotted a car pulling into their driveway she ran right into her room to hide as her mother went to open the door for their guests. “sofia!” she heard arizona call. that was it for hiding. “come meet our guests please.” with a sigh, she slowly emerged from her rooms & tip toed over to where everyone was gathered, hiding herself mostly behind her mothers legs as she eyed the smaller blonde.

“ so i’m running on little to no sleep.. ” harriet said as plonked herself down in the seat across from delia in the unusually quiet coffee shop. she adjusted the stroller so that it was flush against the table and relatively out of the way. “ and i didn’t realise how hard it is to actually leave the house with a baby. like who knew a tiny person would need so much crap. ” she continued, motioning towards the over packed diaper bag.” and that is why i’m late. i’m so sorry. ” she concluded with a quick glance at her watch. she was really only 10 minutes late, but to harriet it was just like being an hour late.

He was trying to be inconspicuous, watching his prey from across the street, but if the girl kept staring at him, he’d lose his cool and break his cover. She had to go.
