what would you do if your son was a dragon? | (for the family)
It turned out that "apartments" were tiny. Sure, he was coming from an inn that still got more people who stopped for lunch than stopped for the night, but still, tiny. And because it was tiny, it didn't take him long to go through all the rooms. The bed with one pillow was obviously his, and he flopped onto it for a bit just to check how nice it was. Pretty nice.
The entire setup was more Loreilal than anything else, everything shiny, probably crammed full of tiny bits and pieces. Sure, most of the stuff looked vaguely kinda familiar, but except for a certain shot, he didn't have much experience with stuff from Loreilal. So he touched and poked until he figured out that most of the stuff he didn't recognize didn't do much of anything at all except maybe make noise, once with pictures. But why would he take a message from someone he didn't know?
From there was the issue of food. Sure, he could go for long stretches without food or rest, but why would he if he didn't have to? And in a brand new world with brand new food, sorting out what was edible and what wasn't and, especially, what was tasty and what wasn't was important. Yes, having an cooking idiot for a parent really taught you the value of food.
So... follow the nose and...
And that is how his new parents came home to him stuffing his face. After swallowing, crumbs all around his mouth, the first thing he said to his new family was...
"What?"
