Been watching my partner play Bloodborne for a week or so now and I have to say that brainsuckers are absolutely the cruelest designed enemy I've seen so far.

Not only do they suck insight (a limited resource in the game) from you, but they have an uninterruptable grab attack, and not one, but TWO spell abilities that will freeze you in place so they can grab you.

I just watched one grab the character, do the succ, and then before the character could get up did a aoe binding spell and just grabbed them again. How is that even remotely fair?

but i also felt like drawing felicity in a bikini top, with a baseball bat and a hand cannon totally not buffed with something inspired by the empty phantasm shell

Adam is like this pale slender steampunk hunter with a pistol in one hand and a kinky cane/sword in the other that can transform into a bladed whip. I think making Adam do this was the best choice.

good afternoon! im real shit at bloodborne. i did try, real hard, to mess up that first wolf. hit him maybe 8 times? im proud of that, if nothing else

i died about 7 times trying get to the first shortcut, the one that opens the gate to the left of the Central Yharnam lamp. the first time i went the wrong way down the path, towards that gate you can pull open, and got promptly destroyed by the big fucker. then i went back for my blood echoes, but of course he’d absorbed them, hadnt he, so he promptly kicked my ass.

then i picked my way very VERY slowly along the right way, being fairly liberal with my molotovs, and eventually made it to the bridge. yknow, the one with the wolves, shortcut house and the first boss? well, the wolves kicked my ass the first time, because i wanted to be tough and actually kill them. the next time, i just ran past them. opened the shortcut, hallelujah, and now i can use that house to grind out some blood vials.

then i fought the first boss for the first time (after having spent a bunch of blood echoes on some new equipment so i didnt lose as much of it, since i expected to die) and die i did. but now ive got the doll, so we’re good. im probably gonna grind the shortcut house and maybe the bridge wolves for a while so i can level up a bit and feel more confident. then im gonna fuck the big wolf in the shitter. :D
