Palkia raises her head at the sound of something, and she’s able to throw a shield up just in time as the little Lugia crashed landed into the pond. She dispelled it, her eyes twinkling with some form of amusement as she watched the Pokemon shook the water off of his feathers.

“Perhaps you must be taking lessons from those of your size.” Is she laughing? Maybe a little, she shifts to offer her hand for the Pokemon to crawl onto her should he need to. “It has been some time since I have seen one of your kind, how unlucky you are my dear.”

oh, fuck yes!! the grunt nearly pumps his fist up in his sudden, billowing excitement at the surprise gift of food thrown his way, but remembers in time that it’s cooler to bottle that child-like reaction up & do it mentally instead, so he acts accordingly, not wanting to make a complete fool of himself in front of who the teen assumes could possibly be a non-gang member friend in the future. he seemed cool enough to stay in touch with.. that, or he was just nice & polite enough to show this friendly gesture to the skull member once. 

lyle adored sweets & it was rare for him to partake in anything homemade, since most grunts couldn’t cook worth shit, but compared to the store bought sugary-delicacies he ate weekly, he much preferred lovingly made treats than mass-produced ones. it made the exchange feel a lot more personal & not corporate & cold..
