Bloodswap...thinking about...purple mallek. He's rebellious in his own way I think similarly to marvus he's mb not super devout or anything and just kinda wants to live his own life (not that the church isn't important to him). Def a little 'lowblood rights' here and some 'fuck the system' there but mb low-key about it (at least to other clowns)

YES i love any clownswap but especially of my faves. (Side note: did you read caity's purple mallek fic yet? check it out, i thought it was really fun!)

I like that interpretation of purple Mallek a lot! I think the biggest part about this bloodswap that I would want to explore is like. Okay so I wrote here and (somewhere else... if i find it i'll link it) about how Mallek is kind of just an inherently lonely character? I wonder how that would translate into a caste that is so extremely tight knit, exclusive, and "family" oriented? Would he feel like he's on the outside, looking in? Or would he feel a false sense of security and let slip some of his more controversial thoughts.

I'm inclined to believe it would be the former; like I said, he's inherently a lonely (AND suspicious) person, caste aside (although a thought for another time is how lonely the midblood castes are; i sort of posted something similar not too long ago but never elaborated). He has a kind heart and that heart, under the pressure of alternia, has kind of hardened into someone who won't- but sooo desperately wants to- ask for help. He takes on all of this pressure, on his own terms, just because he believes it's right.

So translating that into purple, yeah I think he would feel a little disconnected from the one thing that binds them all as clowns: the messiahs. But he would still have his ear out for the morality of it all, and use that for his own agenda. And he would still be listening to the talk: how does a revolution start, and what can he do to help? Pitch / pale purple mallek and marvus indulgence. Or... even better: pitch / pale purple mallek and cerulean marvus.... I'm a one trick pony babeyyyy but he’s my trick babeyy lmao.

Uh anyway. All of that to say basically that I agree with you lol. Purple mallek good.
