Azrael had been hesitant, to say the least, when Lucy had suggested that she learn how to fight. She was afraid that if she did, she’d get angry and really hurt someone. These powers, they took her over in ways that she couldn’t always completely understand. Sometimes she’d shoot fire, ignite things a small distance away, or the new road block was her skin heating up and singeing anyone who touched her. It wasn’t the best.
But the witch was won over when Lucy informed her that she would be fighting a vampire. She didn’t know exactly what parts of lore were true, but she did know that they were pretty touch. She was far less likely to hurt one than a human.
At first, things with her and Stefan were a bit weird. She was cautious around him and didn’t say all that much. She wasn’t sure what kind of conversation to expect from a vampire. Eventually, though, she loosened up and so did Stefan. They actually became pretty close. Who would have known that a vampire could make such good company?
Azrael was really concentrating on the fight when Stefan suggested taking him out. She’d learned a lot from him and thought she actually had a chance, if he didn’t take advantage of his vampire speed. She threw a few punches and so did he, both of them missing each other, until finally she hit him. He fell to the group and Azrael’s stomach dropped.
“Are you okay?” She asked, kneeling down next to him to get a closer look. Before she had a chance to say anything else though, he’d grabbed her and then pinned her easily. “Cheat.” She mumbled before everything seemed to slow down. Her heart was pounding and she looked up at him, straight into those beautiful green eyes.
She’d barely had time to react when he pulled back and released her hands, awkward expression on his face. She took a moment to think before cupping his face and pulling him back to her, their lips connecting again.
