His friend -cum- servant’s son Hassan promises to help him. On the day of the tournament Hassan faces an incident which will shatter everything. Amir is a rich pashtun boy while Hassan is a hazara. Amir’s father loves both of them. Their friendship is so heart touching that everyone’d be willing to get a friend like Hassan. When Russians invaded Afghanistan , Amir and his father moved away to Pakistan and then to San Francisco , USA. After almost 2 decades , Amir revisits kabul when Taliban had taken control and everything has changed. Amir goes there to find something which not only shocked him but also washed his sins and became a better version of himself. This story is very heart gripping and it would always remain in my heart. It is outstanding , emotional and heartbreaking. Moves even the hardest heart even.. This is Hosseine’s debut novel . He is a great storyteller and has a wonderful style of writing.
