❛ i told you i can't tonight ... ❜ delaney lets out a long suffering sigh. the other is already all dressed up, clearly ready for a night out. surely one night off from keeping their nose stuffed in a book wouldn't hurt, but delaney has always been so disciplined when it comes to school that even entertaining the idea fills her with too much unnecessary anxiety. ❛ don't give me that look. c'mon, i can't have you distracting me when exams are soon. next time, okay? ❜ this is definitely not the first time she's used that excuse.
