Published 100 years ago today, my favourite collection of short stories. Even after a century, each tale — whether about the anguish of love or a late-night card game — still rings true.
The bar was full of men and loud with the noise of tongues and glasses. The three men pushed past the whining matchsellers at the door and formed a little party at the corner of the counter. They began to exchange stories.
Such simple language and yet so evocative — it could just as easily describe a pub visit in Dublin today, except perhaps for the matchsellers.
There are reasons I run in costume. Because it motivates me, and it brings joy to others.
That little girl is 4 and was excited that her mommy knew Tony Stark.

MARATHON SEASON?
marathon season is coming up.
I've never done one before, and I kind of want to start training for one. :3 Gonna research and find a "support" group lol. anyone know of good ones in Spokane? Besides bloomsday, I know where that one is.
