Bloom VoxBox
Product Review
McKee Foods Sunbelt Bakery Granola Bars Fudge Dipped Chocolate Chip - Grainy, chocolatey, somewhat filling...lots of calories though. They’re soft and chewy unlike some bars that break your teeth, but overall not my first choice for a snack.
Not Your Mother's Plump For Joy™ Thickening Hair Lifter - I really wanted to like this but it fell flat for me (pun intended.) It’s supposed to make your hair plump and volumized but I didn’t feel like it did much of anything except for kind of make it wavy when I scrunched it. But if I wanted to do that, I would just get the sea salt spray. Also if you get it too close to the hair on your scalp it looks greasy. Disappointed.
Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads - it does the job. It’s simple and easy to use. It’s nice not to have to get the whole bottle out and cotton balls that stick to your polish. This is a nice alternative.
Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid Completely Clean Antiperspirant/Deodorant- This has a nice scent but I don’t sweat very often and I feel like I sweat more when using it actually. It doesn’t seem to last very long and tends to shed a little bit. Nice packaging though.
NUXE Huile Prodigieuse® Multi-Purpose Dry Oil - I love this stuff! It’s actually quite high end and very popular in Paris. I put a little bit on the ends of my hair and it makes it soft and shiny. Sometimes I’ll put a dab in my lotion and it softens my skin without making me break out. I do find the smell very strong and old-lady ish though.
SinfulColors Professional Nail Color- It’s nice that this is cheap and it has a nice color payoff but I’m not in love with it. I find it tends to chip easily. Anyway, I like using shellac polish or getting my nails done at the salon so it’s not something that would make me want to switch to just plain painting my nails seeing as it chips so soon.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I received the #BloomVoxBox complimentary from @influenster for testing and review purposes. #influenster
This month I received the Influenster Bloom Voxbox free for testing and product review purposes.
In this Voxbox I received:
~Trial Size NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purposes Dry Oil
~VIP Pink Sinful Shine Nail Polish
~1 Sunbelt Bakery Oats & Honey Chewy Granola Bar
~3 Pack Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads
~Trial Size Secret Outlast Xtend Deodorant
~Trial Size Not Your Mothers Plump For Joy Thickening Hair Lifter
Overall the voxbox was pretty awesome, not really any complaints. It included a good variety of spring/summer products that I enjoyed testing. As far as individual product reviews go here’s the breakdown:
NUXE: AMAZING Dry Oil! Great on dry skin and hair. I mostly use mine on my dry skin. I work as a chef in a corporate kitchen so we are always wearing gloves and the powered gloves tend to dry out my hands so when I get home form work I put one small dab of oil on and rub it in and it makes my hands feel brand new. I have used it on my hair when I go out and I have stray hairs everywhere again just one small dab of oil and it tames all those fly away stray hairs. I WILL be purchasing this product in full size from ULTA, Which runs about $45.00+tax for 3.3 oz.
Sinful Shine: I didn’t really get to test this product out again I am a chef so we aren’t allowed to wear nail polish in the kitchen. I know I know why didn’t I just test it on my toe nails, to be honest I REALLY need a pedicure before I can do anything else with my feet. But I will eventually use it on my toe nails seeing its summer and sandal season.
Sunbelt Bakery: I use to eat these granola bars ALL THE TIME. I don’t know why but I totally forgot about them until I got one in my voxbox and was like OMG I totally forgot about these! And since eating my oats & honey bar i’ve purchased almost every flavor they have at $2.00 per box of I think 10 at walmart. DELICIOUS SNACKING!
Cutex Nail Polish Remover Pads: In order to complete part of the Influenster badge on their website for reviewing all of the products received I did have to put on the Sinful Shine nail polish and take a picture with it, and because I had to work the next day I used the remover pads to get the nail polish off, and boy do I have to say I was impressed. Not just by how quickly and efficiently they worked but they didn’t smell of that obnoxious acetone smell, they actually smelt good. If I ever get to do my nails again I will definitely keep these in mind!
Secret Outlast Xtend Deodorant: Recently I received a full size trail of another brand of Spray Deodorant and I have to say I absolutely fell in love with it! It worked so well and kept me clean smelling and dry as a chef in a hot kitchen but as you know I had to test and review all products so I did I took a week and used my trail of Secerts Outlast Xtend and I have to say I was impressed it did last a full 8 hours in a 100 degree plus kitchen and I felt good afterwards. But I think I’m going to stick with my spray for now. But if you like solid deodorant I would highly recommend this one.
Not Your Mothers: As for this product I can say I have super thick hair already with a lot of volume so I didn’t personally use this product. I did however give it to a friend who has thin flat hair and she absolutely was impressed and loved the product. She can’t wait to go out and buy a full-size bottle of it. She said “It makes me feel pretty and not like I just have flat dull hair” and that’s all I needed to hear to say this is a good product.

Sinful Shine Nail Polish with Gel Tech in VIP
http://sinfulcolors.com
This was the first product that I tried when I opened this Voxbox. This is not the first time I've tried nail polish from the company. I was quite pleased with my previous experience with the company. I like how this company's product tends to dry very quickly compared to other nail polishes I've tried in the past. When one is on the go, it is very convenient for one who travel to have a product that dries fast.
Despite the fact that I've haven't applied nail polish to my nails in a long while, I appreciate how easy it is to apply. I also like that once dried, it's quite durable. The only thing I dislike about the product is the color. I'm just not a big fan of pink. Other than that, I have no problem with the product.
Will I purchased this brand in the future? Yes, but not in this color. You can find this in Walgreens as a part of the Kylie Jenner Collection.

After painting my nail, it is only natural that when deciding to remove it with nail polish remover once tired of the color is the next step. So far, I like how the ingredients are mostly natural and there isn't any gelatin in it as well. When you open the box, the pads come in individual packets that excellent for those one the go. The packet can even fit in your pocket.
The packet is easy to open and once opened, the usual nail polish remover smell is there. I wiped off some nail polish off my nail with ease. I like when after I use the product,it doesn't leave a dry sensation on my nails.
Will I get it again? Yeah, it's easy to use and it fits those one the go.
Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid

The one thing I like for my deodorant to have is a great smell. After all if I were to wear something all day, it might as well smell good. Luckily for me, this product does smell very good. It has a somewhat fruity smell that I find to be delightful. The appearance is the same as any white deodorant seen on the market.
It seems to do its job, making my pits smell good. My mom also love the smell and wishes to get one for herself.
Will I get it again? Well, since I like the smell and it last a while, I think I will.
Sunbelt Bakery Fudge Dipped Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bar
http://fb.com/sunbeltbakery
Anyone who know me well know that I absolutely love the taste of chocolate or any other type of sweet, so I was liking the idea already. I love how the sweet smell just travels to my nose. Since sharing is caring, I shared some of the bar with my mom.
Its texture was typical of a chewy granola bar, but with the bonus of chocolate. My mom said that it tasted similar to a rice crispy treat and I agree with that sentiment. The chocolate goes well with granola aspect of the bar.
Will I get it again? Probably if I'm able to find it in my nearest grocery store.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil
http://fb.com/nuxeus
I can count only one hand how many time I use a dry oil product, so this isn't my first time using one. This one smells the same as the others I've tried in the past. To describe the smell is kinda difficult. It's slightly fragrant. The smell is okay, not the most appealing to me, but it's no big deal.
The thing I like about this product is it does makes my skin soft after using it. It's very pleasant to have when your skin always dry. It works wonders for the hair too.
Will I get again? I would, but the price is a bit high to me ($29).
Not Your Mother's Plump For Joy
http://fb.com/nymbrands
I've never use a product that pumped up or add volume to my hair before. In the past, I've never seen the need to buy one due to my hair almost always being in an afro.
What I do like about the product is that it made my hair feel soft. The product come in a hair spray/pump bottle. I've found that if you use the product too close to your face, it splashes a bit.
Will I get it again? I don't really need it, but like I said before, it did made my hair soft.

May Influenster VoxBox: Overall Impressions
Overall, the May VoxBox was fun! It was a great mix of products that I use on the daily with some hits and misses. I found that the granola bar and nail polish weren’t my favorite, but I will definitely use up the deodorant, Cutex nail polish remover wipes, and the NUXE oil. The Not Your Mother’s Volumizer spray was in the middle. It’s not something I normally grab for, but it smells great and it’s a good product. Overall, I’m super grateful to Influenster for sending cool, free products to try out. Thanks again Influenster!
Guess who received Influenster’s Bloom Voxbox?! :D
In this Voxbox was:
Not Your Mother’s spray (not for me bc my hair’s thick enough, but i love the brand)
Cutex nail polish remover pads (work surprisingly well considering i normally don’t trust pads)
Nuxe Dry Oil (didn’t care for it. Not an oil person at all)
Sunbelt Bakery granola bar (tasted... healthy. not in a bad way, but that’s the only wa i could really categorize it)
Secret Outlast deodorant (worked like a charm)
Sinful Colors nail polish (not a color I’d ever choose to wear, but i like the consistency enough)
All of the products were wonderful to try, and I’m so happy that I got to review them!*
*I received all of these products for free in exchange for an honest review
My long, thick and wavy hair has been thanking me ever since I got the #notyourmothers #PlumpForJoy thickening hair lifter! Super easy to use, and really adds volume to the roots of my hair, which often get flattened and weighed down by the heaviness of my hair! I like to use it with the @nymbrands #beachbabe sea salt spray! I got it to test from the @influenster program, however all opinions are my own! #contest #plump4joy #bloomvoxbox
