Review Time 🍿 : Mulan
I was shocked by how much i actually liked this movie after all that backlash and hate it received making me skeptical whether i should watch my beloved Mulan being slaughtered in this remake or not.....
....However thanks to the online trolls/critics who did an excellent job underselling the movie and well you watch it with REAL LOW EXPECTATIONS ....sooo in the end You love it
Lets start with all the goood things about this live action remake
1) The Scenic Landscapes and the overall Picturisation of the entire Movie, start to end is commendable....Its a Visual Treat not worth missing.....10/10
2) The Dialogues are soo well written ...it does justice to the original movie with its tone of 'empowerment and love' both going hand in hand 10/10
3) Background Characters were given their due importance and enough screen time to shine unlike most live action remakes this far.
The Things That Could have been better:
1) The Action Sequences Fell Flat in Major Parts: Like With the Ice Glacier trick...a lil more action cd have been better...or the final scene where Bori Khan and Mulan fight...there should have been more to it 5/10
2) Lead Character Casting was not at all a bad call.....she seemed promising , the problem was with directing her...instead of highlighting her big moments, they cut her off in two such scenes before she cd finish her dialogue hence, she seemed dull in the movie as she wasnt given enough shining for a lead character ......
Suggestion: We need to learn to direct Women in such powerful roles....like patty jenkins did with WonderWoman. It almost seems like Women in Action Roles donot manage to make the cut...

If you watch this Mulan as a standalone movie and not compare it with the animated treat that came before, its done a fair job and hence could be a one time watch with a rating of
