or Purpose of This Tumblr
I suppose I've had the urge to post things around here without having it mingled in with my usual clutter of a reblog-based-blog. Here, you'll likely find ramblings that I've decided to type out, personal rubbish photography or graphics crap I whip up, and general quasi-intellectual reblogs/posts/replies on whatever that I may run by on a whim. This, of course, is a completely tentative list of stuff, and I don't anticipate a good level of consistency from myself, let alone the perseverance to make this blog actually last too long. Oh well, I'll fudge around with it until I forget about it or get bored.
Now, another word before I go ahead with these things: for the posts that I do make, I do not intend for these posts to be taken in a serious, intellectual/scientific manner. I have never considered myself entirely qualified to speak on behalf of any particularly deep subject such as philosophy, politics, economics (my current field of study as an undergrad), et cetera. However, I don't suppose that stops most people from speaking, and I suppose that it won't stop myself from doing so either. But please bear this in mind that with any of my posts, there is a fundamental level of self-doubt which I hold, and nothing I say (yet) should be taken as absolute truth or frozen opinion which I will stand firm on forever. I try not to go and assert that I am correct in whatever I say, save for the fact that they are my opinions at the time. I try to be open to logical, cogent arguments whenever possible, although some subjects are just beyond that.
Also, one last thing, I don't intend to get involved in discussions around here; tumblr is a fairly one-way/straightforward medium when it comes to dialogue, so what I say is generally unfettered with this in mind.
