I don't usually read a lot of bottom Lance but this was simply divine 🥰🥰
First off, I love the age-gap relationship. Keith being a caring, protective older man with Lance being younger just melts my heart; it scratches an itch in my brain. The ownership, dominance, and their dynamic is both domestic yet hot and kinky.
This is an omegaverse, which I personally love! It isn't too heavy with it to be noted but it's definitely there and written amazingly.
The sex and kink is written so well; I keep going back to reread it. It is literally the perfect combination of soft and putting Lance in his place. The power dynamic between them, esepecially with Keith being stronger and domineering and Lance being a sub and a brat had me hold my breath while scanning each word. Seriously, Keith praising him but not hesitating to smack too was so good. Daddy kinks own my heart.
Lance is also trans which if you're trans, you'll probably love. I loved it at least. Keith being older but accepting of Lance is so sweet and probably something Lance yearns for in a masculine figure.
Did I mention there is a delicious size difference...?
Lance is written in such an endearing way. He's a young adult who has a lot of charm and life in him. I love that he wants something special where he's loved but he doesn't lose his Lance-yness.
The Southern dialogue is so cute! I love how this author wrote Keith speaking, along with his country expressions. It made the "small town" vibes more amplified and home-y.
Another aspect I love is that each chapter has them in a different scenario but same AU. It feels like reading clips and snippets of their love life which made it all the more domestic whereas the scenes themselves were just pure smut that I enjoyed reading.
The word usage with body language has a wide range of diversity and makes you want to keep reading. It doesn't feel boring or disengaging. How the author writes makes the text flow easy, as well as makes you lock into the screen without pulling away.
You'd have to read this author's other works, but there's also some delicious lore in this universe. I won't spoil it, but the angst is fantastic. It's Keith's trauma which makes it feel dynamically well-rounded. Usually I don't see doms and/or tops having emotional focus and/or needs, so seeing that made my heart flip and made their relationship feel so much more close.
Overall: Great kinks, great setting, great well-rounded characters, and great author. I highly recommend you read this.
