"heyyy mister spooky ghost ask."
@foxfirebluelace//I got just the thing!
They’d done it! Finally, after almost Six months of frustration, Marco, Blue, and Marku all three sat taking turns at putting the pieces into the slots.
Jean wasn’t among them. Instead, he was passed out on Marku’s bed with a poisoned arrow through the chest. It was why the situation was so dire. Marku could heal wounds, but the poison had spread to far by the time Marco had gotten him home to safety. Not even his potions had much effect, though it had slowed the process down.
They needed the Mystic Elf’s help, and the only way to summon her, was with the Millennium puzzle completed.
The demon turned the last piece over in his hand, the Eye of Wajat and it’s jagged edges staring back at him.
He was about to gain the power so strong, that the Egyptians feared it enough to lock it away for centuries. It should excite him, to be the inheritor of such a thing. But instead, He felt no glee in the idea.
Power wasn’t his goal anymore. His family was. Marco, Jean, Fox. They were his life now. The power meant nothing, except to be a means to protect them.
Taking the puzzle carefully into his hands, he puts the piece into the slot, immediately causing the item to glow.
When the light died down, another soul was with them, standing with a proud grin as he stepped closer.
“Heyyy Mister Spooky Ghost!”
At Fox’s words, Atem laughs, turning his crimson gaze to her, and cupping her cheek. “Long time no see… I’m glad you all finally solved it… Though I’m sorry for your friend.” The Pharaoh gave an apologetic glance to Jean’s form.
Placing a gentle kiss to Blue’s lips, He sighed contently. He knew he couldn’t stay, as he was only here to give Marku his powers, but it still was wonderful to see her again.
Stepping away reluctantly, he turned back to said demon and his light, patting Marku on the shoulder. He nearly dropped the puzzle out of nerves, but Marco took it from his hands with a giggle before he could.
“Careful with that, Shadow. Wouldn’t want to break it, yeah?” Atem smirked, playfully poking Marku’s nose. “… I can’t say how much I’ve missed you My Friend, though you remember very little of me…You’ve both come so far… I promise Both You and Marco will remember everything, once I give you what is yours..”
With that, he held up two orbs. One was glowing Gold, which he pressed into Marku’s chest, and the other was White, which he did the same for Marco, before stepping back to stand beside Fox.
Both Men fell to their knees and closed their eyes with hands over where the entry had occurred. They weren’t in pain, but were overwhelmed by the powers they were taking in.
“It will take a moment for them to absorb all of Mine and Yugi’s memories, along with their respective Shadow Magic.” He informs her. “But they’ll be alright. I promise. And so will Jean. My deck, and the Pokemon, I leave them to the two of them. Marku is Mine and Shadow’s incarnation… He’ll know what to do, but will need help with caring for them… I’m sure you’ll help though, right?” He smiles, tears in his eyes as he brushes some of her hair back behind her ear.
“I’ve missed you so much Blue… I’m sorry I can’t be here directly but.. This way… I know you’ll be loved and protected.. I hope you understand…”
