Ace sighs out nervously as he stands in Fowler’s office, LED spinning between red and yellow as he hands the captain a small stack of papers.

He’s been going over the paperwork for joining the agency most of the morning. Connor and Hank had helped with any questions he’d had during it, and it’d gone relatively quick... But one thing was weighing heavily on the RK900′s processors.

One simple name on the document, and what it would mean for his future.

Partner in Field : Detective Gavin Reed

Connor had already warned him of the Detective’s short temper and his dislike for androids... This was going to be very difficult.

But he wasn’t about to back down from a challenge.

Giving a curt nod of farewell to Fowler, Ace sucks in an unneeded breath, and leaves the office, his feet taking him to what could very well be his doom.

Gavin’s desk... Here goes nothing.

“Hello Detective Reed. My name is Ace. Captain Fowler has Assigned Me as you’re new Partner.”

“Detective Reed!”  Connor gasps in surprise as he feels his back hit the floor.

He blinks in shock. 

He had been so focused on moving forward, even his programming hadn’t anticipated this outcome.

Seeing Gavin bolt upright, Connor also rises quickly to his feet.

“Detectiv- Gavin... Here! I’m so sorry.” He apologizes profusely, grabbing several tissues from the nearest desk, and handing them over to the other.

“Are you alright!?!”

Nickolas looked up at the other and nodded light. “I’m fine… I just got burnt with the coffee that’s all.” He said and shrugged as he sighed and listened.

“I’ll see.” He said and rubbed his arm lightly, begining to head in bathroom’s direction. He was a bit lost at why would the other help him but was thankful for the help. Who knows what the detective would do?

He walked inside and pulled his hood off, washing the stains and smell off coffee off of it first. He sighed and then took care of the burns. They were not only on his arms but also on his chest and face.

He sighed and just tried to get rid of the smell of coffee off of himself. His LED was spinning in dark yellow as his did so. It was all so strange.

While Nickolas was in the restroom, Gavin came out of a stall, and started washing his hands. He takes one look at the white spots on the other’s body and shakes his head.

“Phucking Androids...” he mutters, drying his hands and watching curiously as the other cleans his hoodie and skin.

After a few moments, he tilts his head as he contemplates his words.

“So... Did that hurt? It looks like it’d be painful...” He asks, looking over the wounds. 

“Connor once said that Androids don’t feel pain... But that Deviants do... Is that true?”
