What do you think of Zinnia? Personally, I found her background and the emotions she showed quite interesting. I'm still wondering who the original Aster was. Great post about Alan, by the way! :]
Thank you!
I LOVE ZINNIA, SHE’S ONE OF MY FAVORITE POKÉMON CHARACTERS.
To begin with, on a completely shallow level, her Trainer title is one that I would personally want. The fact that she is a Lorekeeper is so fantastic to me. The myths and legends of the Pokémon world have always fascinated me like none other, and so the fact that Zinnia’s character is completely wrapped up in those things is fantastic. I also love the fact that she essentially spent the entire Delta episode taking no one’s shit, including and especially Steven’s. Personally, while I’ve never disliked Steven, I’ve also never understood the hype about him, so it was perfectly fine with me that she basically told him to sit down and shut up because he had no idea what was going on and she did. You go, Zinnia.
I really want to know more about her and her Dragon Clan. We don’t really know much about her clan, nor do we know much about Zinnia, as a person. I, too, want to know who the original Aster was. It seems like Aster was her daughter, but at the same time Zinnia doesn’t look old enough to have had a child. Then again, I suppose Zinnia could be older than she appears. We really just don’t know.
That said, Zinnia’s lines about the original Aster really struck a chord with me, because they 100% echoed what I felt about Shiloh after her death:
“We were always together, in good times and in bad. I loved her. I loved her with everything I had … but I still lost her."
My thoughts and feelings exactly, Zinnia. My thoughts and feelings exactly.
Honestly, I wish I could say more or give a more indepth post, but I only played the Delta Episode once and it was a while back ago (like, over a year ago, I would say). But I absolutely adored everything about Zinnia, from her design, to her name, to her attitude, to her dialogue, to her role, to her … everything! I really hope we get to see her in future games, particularly in ones that deal in the multiverse that the Delta Episode established. I also hope that we get to learn more about her, because she is a mystery wrapped in an enigma and there is so much potential to be explored there.
