BJJ tournament drama!
I’m in a pretty stacked division (lightweight, 12 competitors). One of the many women I may wind up facing is a former member of our gym who’s left for a rival gym. It’s lighthearted drama, since the rivalry is casual, but it should be fun to see if I do get to go against her. She has great judo so you’d better believe I’m pulling guard.
Nogi final... I lost, but it was close! Gotta be quicker on the trigger with guillotines and work on my standup and closed guard.

My second tournament at blue belt, and my only two losses (of 6 matches) were by ref decision; also won two by points and two by submission (bow-and-arrow, belly down arm bar from closed guard). I’d been sick that week and was admittedly low-energy, so I didn’t put in the effort they wanted to see--but no one passed my guard. :D
